SRS mobile job fair to stop in Augusta

A mobile job fair sharing information on how to get a Recovery Act job at Savannah River Site will be in Augusta on Tuesday, November 10.
A mobile job fair sharing information on how to get a Recovery Act job at Savannah River Site will be in Augusta on Tuesday, November 10.
The Road To Recover Tour will stop at the Augusta Career Center, 601 Greene St. from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Information will be provided on how people can obtain a job doing work at SRS.
Job fair representatives also have job search tips and resume building advice.
Resumes for Recovery Act jobs at SRS can be submitted. About 3,000 people are expected to get temporary clean-up work at the site.

Not finding what you're looking for here in Augusta? State officials have planned a number of hiring events for workers across the state of Georgia.
In addition to job fairs and other hiring events taking place in Augusta soon, state Department of Labor officials have announced a number of job fairs to be held throughout the state in November.
Georgia Department of Labor's Covington Career Center and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will host a fair Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VFW Post 5290 in Conyers.
Another Nov. 10 fair is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 201, in Alpharetta. A fair is also planned Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 251, in Duluth.

The Aiken Workforce Center, located at 1571 Richland Avenue in Aiken, will host a Veterans Appreciation Day on Tuesday, November 10.
